Do Pendlay's 5x5. Stronglifts 5x5 is basically a less effective version of Starting Strength.

Hey guys I'm starting pendlay 5x5 April 1rst. Pretty stoked on that. Question, what is the max amount of miles I can run on recovery days before it effects my strength gains? Is 3 miles too much? I'd like to get to 18 minutes in 3 miles.

In answer to your question, I don't know, BUT what I do know is that just about any running you do will interfere with your squat progress!!

You will probably just have to run it and see whether you can recover between your squat workouts.

Personally, I would not bother with the running, as the running and strength increase in the legs is counter-productive.

Just run the strength program for a while. The cardio will come back easy!! Look at some of the threads on Crossfit forum about people who do the strength work and come back with no problem. It's very difficult to work cardio and strength at the same time and recover to get stronger!! You'll just have to pick one and run it for a while!!

You could also do GSLP (Greyskull Linear Programming). That has been done successfully with added in metcons (i.e. cardio).

I see a lot of questions... especially about changing the program. If you will just not change it, start with moderate weights and make the increases every workout, not add in any other exercises, and not do a whole bunch of cardio, it will work. quickest way to kill progress is to start adding in other stuff, adding exercises, cardio, or extra deadlift days, etc. if your gonna do it, just do it, without changing it.

Mr Pendlay I'm about 14% bf weigh 180 lbs and 6ft 4. Do you think I will drop fat from getting stronger and gaining muscle? Or can I expect to stay the same bf but just get stronger? Thanks for actually taking the time to read my many questions and posts.

That just comes down to diet. If you eat like crap, you won't lose fat. If you eat a sensible diet, you will lose fat.
