This is another thing I've learned is highly individual. Many people assume things about their diet that may not be true. Especially when university sports nutrition courses, even at the masters level, pound away at how most Americans' diets supply plenty of nutrients. This isn't always the case & I think it's helpful for people to take stock in what they typically eat. For example, I got a blood test last year that showed my Vit D level was extremely low (I live in Cleveland and work nights at times- no sunshine). I've also recently noticed of all things that I don't get a lot of potassium. These two things seemed pretty important to me.

So first I think everyone should get a pretty good grasp on their basic nutrition with regards to vitamins & minerals and then go from there. The crappiness I used to feel while training wasn't just a function of getting older and working 10 hour days beforehand.

I bet a lot of people could benefit from looking at their vit/min intake.

I've tried the majority of top protein's out there including PROGENEX but Upgraded Whey is probably the most pure and high quality protein supplement out there. It's an all natural Whey Protein Concentrate made from fresh milk of Grass Fed Cows with added powdered Coconut MCT Oil and added Pharmaceutical grade bovine serum albumin for additional immune boosting compounds. I've been using it for a few months now and LOVE IT! My go to supplements that I always keep in stock are now Upgraded Whey and Podium Gold. You can't go wrong with a solid protein and creatine supplement when you are training hard everyday. Try some out if you're interested, use DISCOUNT CODE: 104TEAMUSA for 10% OFF your next order! Follow this link to check out their other products like Upgraded Coffee (I drink it every morning).

It doesn't matter what it tastes like I can happily throw back anything during training but only if it's very easily digestible...carbs, whey, inidividual amino acids etc. I don't think milk would go down well at all.

Worked well for Paul Anderson.

One of my little guys used to drink about a thermos full each practice and more if he raided my milk in the fridge. Can work pretty swell when the temperature hits 105. Nice cold milk. And he never liked water much. I think the milk soothed his throat a bit (had GERD).

Works alright for lifting. Not so great for bouncing around stuff.

The first time I megadosed vitamin c, about 4 years ago, for 2 months or so my knees got completely pain free. The difference was so dramatic that I have no clue how it could possibly happen. My knees still bother me from time to time but it has never become as bad as before. If it was the vitamin c, placebo or just coincidence I have no idea.

Maybe Pauling was right?
A couple years down the road from these posts, I'm wondering if the thinking and/or stories about vitamin C mega-dosing have evolved one way or another.

In my case, muscle soreness is pretty rarely much of an issue. I don't take any supplemental protein either. For me it's more CNS plus whatever other general mental health problems I got going on. Also now I got issues with hypoglycemia. Yay stress.

Fish oil capsules, 4 a day, Dollar Tree
Vitamin D3, 1, Dollar Tree
Vitamin E, DT
Vitamin C, 1000mg
B vitamin complex pill
Multivitamin from Walmart
Taurine 1000mg, or 2000, depends.

Chinese herbs,

From Puritan's Pride
Eleuthero, one dose morning
Schizandra, one dose morning
Astragalus, one dose morning

Ocassionally take Korean Ginseng pills from the Dollar Tree.

Eucommia Bark tea from Asian market, if I have a sore back. It's apparently a mild herbal SARM. Seems pretty anabolic, increases appetite a lot, sometimes get a bit more acne. No idea how it'd compare if at all to real roids, but it makes me strong and makes my back not hurt, also horniness, too (which isn't great if you're an unmarried religious person.)

Mint tea, tried a few times working out, works awesome to cool you down between sets, amazing endurance.

Roasted barley/corn tea, good hydration.

Long Dan Xei Gan. If I feel too "hot" usually from eating too much meat/fat. Also helped with a UTI problem I had a while back (due pretty much to eating too much meat/fat.)

Bu Nao Wan. Chinese "cerebral tonic" medicine. Schizandra and a bunch of other herbs. Pretty good.

Caffeine/coffee works short term, but not longterm. Yay for smashed out adrenals.

Take Dollar Tree sleeping pills occasionally. Have Valerian, chamomile, and melatonin. I wake up weirdly on melatonin and get strange dreams. But it does get me to sleep.

The best solution to burn the extra fat on your body is to take T5 Fat Burners. These capsules, serums and patches are the very best and have helped me loose alot of my excess fat that i really did hate. Since taking these i feel 100% better and have had a great boost in confidence. These Fat Burners really do work!
