Gentlemen in NC-
Are there any other WL gyms closer to Durham/Chapel Hill, or is CF Training Valley the best option for the area?

pdatoc,
HELL YEAH! maybe I'm being biased here but, we're doing some remodeling here to get more room for our new weightlifting club we're starting up. Our club training days for now until we get more interest are: Tues, Thurs 5-7pm and Sat. 11:30am-1:30 pm. Other days are your own focus or you can continue to follow a planned training cycle. My best advice, come check us out, see for yourself and get a feel for the gym and the people.

I'll give you a call before I visit, CF Training Valley. Thanks!

I just read this article regarding inflammation. Interesting in that it sets out to refute the Starret "don't ice it" video.

I hadn't read anything regarding how inflammation works before this so all of the chemical and process descriptions were all pretty interesting to me.

Just to completely contradict a prior post from me... I couldn't take it any longer. I had to take some Advil yesterday to see if a pain in my right deltoid attachment would go away. I used compression and heat therapy for a week and this annoying twinge showed back up everyday. Yesterday, I took 3 Advil and the pain went away within thirty minutes and has not come back.

Couldn't have stated it better without referencing one of my physiology textbooks, Goodman & Gilman's Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics ginormous textbook, and a plethora of journal articles from PubMed. Albeit the author did cite 47 references.

Usually I like the stuff from mobilitywod but in this case I couldn't disagree anymore.

@pdatoc,

Also check out the Athletic Lab in Cary. Solid gym (especially when Mike Young is in town and not coaching in BC).

I am in Chapel Hill, but I don't know CF Training Valley.
