The teaching guidelines in the second paragraph of that article ought to be used by weightlifting coaches in this country: Light weight-technique-hips-getting under the bar.

I think one of the lifters I trained with over the summer met him and trained with him for a bit when Wringling Bros were in the tri-state area, as this whole conversation sounds very familiar.
And who knew, consistency > weights. |

We had already been talking a good while before I filmed this. The last 90 sec or so you may need to turn up the volume high. He has traveled around the U.S. and lifted in many weightlifting clubs and gyms, so his oberservations of U.S. lifters is more on the local level.

grat litle vid...notice how when he extends the hips, its a totally flat footed jump off the heels...very interesting
